The Experience
Upon arriving at the Bedfordshire venue, you will head to the main reception desk to complete your check-in. The staff will hand you your keycard or locker band, talk you through the layout of the building, and direct you toward the changing rooms so you can switch into your swimwear.
From there, you are free to use the main spa facilities at your own pace throughout the day. You can start by easing into the heated indoor pool for a few calm laps, or step straight into the sauna to let the dry heat relax your muscles. As you move between the different heat rooms and steam chambers, the warm air helps open your pores and loosen up tight joints. Many visitors like to alternate between heated environments and cooler showers, as changing temperatures boosts circulation and leaves you feeling refreshed.
Around midday, you will take a break from the water and head over to the dining area for your included lunch. The kitchen prepares a selection of balanced, light dishes designed to keep your energy up without feeling heavy or sluggish while you swim. You can take as long as you need over your meal, enjoying the calm environment before returning to the pool area.
For the rest of the afternoon, you can stretch out on a lounger with a book, spend more time in the hydrotherapy baths, or simply rest in the quiet relaxation spaces. Because everything is kept under one roof, you can move between rooms as often as you like without needing to stick to a rigid schedule. Once you have finished using the amenities, you simply head back to the changing rooms to shower, get dressed, and hand back your locker key before heading home.
