Discover the remarkable sensation of engine-free flight during a glider experience above Montemor-o-Novo. Designed to move efficiently through the air, the glider offers a smooth flight with little more than the sound of the wind around you.
Your experience begins with a ten-minute briefing covering gliding and basic aerodynamics. You will then settle into the glider alongside a certified, experienced instructor.
A powered aircraft will tow the glider to the required altitude. Once the towline is released, the glider will fly independently using rising air currents to remain in the sky.
The flight lasts approximately 25 minutes. If weather conditions are favourable, you may receive a few additional minutes in the air.
Relax as you glide above the countryside surrounding Montemor-o-Novo. From the air, you can enjoy a peaceful new perspective over Portugal’s beautiful Alentejo region.
This experience depends on suitable weather conditions. If your flight cannot take place, you will be contacted at least 24 hours beforehand to arrange another suitable date.

Your voucher is valid for one person.
The maximum weight is 100kg.
Children must be at least six years old and 1.10 metres tall.
Children must be accompanied by a responsible adult or have a signed liability waiver.
Participants must be fully mobile and able to climb into the glider.
This experience is not suitable during pregnancy.
The flight is not recommended for anyone with heart or respiratory problems. Please consult your doctor before booking if you have any concerns.
Wear comfortable clothing suitable for the weather and outdoor conditions. Sunglasses are recommended.
Flights are available on Saturdays throughout the year. All dates are subject to advance booking, availability and suitable weather conditions.
